The contemporary bridge of Ponte Settimia Spizzichino

This white steel bridge, which was inaugurated in June 2012, is dedicated to Settimia Spizzichino. She was among the only survivors of the Roman holocaust and the memorial bridge links the via Ostiense to Garbatella, the neighborhood where Settimia lived until her death in 2000. She was a prisoner in Auschwitz.
