Ca. 1750. Oil on canvas, 103 x 84 cm.

Born in 1729, the sitter was the youngest daughter of Philip V and Isabella Farnese. In 1750 she was married to Victor Amadeo III, Prince of Piedmont and Duke of Savoy. Crowned Queen of Sardinia in 1773, she died in 1785. In this delightful court portrait the Venetian painter Amigoni depicts her as distinguished in manner, wearing a splendid dress and mantle of royal ermine.
