Marble Throne. Rectangular in shape this white marble throne is remarkable for its construction and its history. The large slab is supported on four marble legs carved out of a single block, and stands on a white marble slab measuring 15 inches high. Abdul Hamid Lahauri records that it was used by Shah Jahan. A wooden bejeweled throne was placed over this marble slab and occupied by the Emperor particularly during the summer evenings and nights.
