Marsh Crocodile (Crocodylus palustris)

Range: Bangladesh, Iran, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, and Pakistan. They are thought to be extirpated from Myanmar. Highly social, communicate with a wide variety of vocalizations. Food: juveniles feed on invertebrates,Adults capture larger prey, such as fish, frogs, snakes, turtles, birds, and mammals such as squirrels, monkeys, deer, and buffalo. Lays eggs: 10-48 eggs. Incubation period: 55-75 days. Life Span: 40 years.
